BBQ Short Ribs

short ribs are one of my all time favorite things to eat. i seriously love them. while I try and try again to deny my innate carnivorous tendencies ultimately my lack of discipline takes over and I inevitably end up eating the whole stack. sorry family. anyhow here’s an impressive way to cook up short ribs in a short amount of time. simmer them slow and low for a delicious treat that’s classic and delicious.

full disclosure: i love my short ribs 2 ways. fall off the bone tender and in a sandwich. usually ill start w the ribs and then move onto the sandwich as a reward. BBQ beef ribs in a brioche roll are heaven. the hot BBQ sauce soaked up in a toasted bun, is nothing short of perfection. all saucy and messy and sticky and full of all these delicious flavors it’s like the 4th of July everyday. here’s the whole situation on how it has to go down.

if you’re like me and you forgot to defrost the ribs or take them out in the morning don’t worry. granted the more they can sit in the sauce and marinate the better but it’s completely not necessary. in fact I have made these ribs several
times simply by taking them out of the freezer and placing them in one of my calphalon pans w a tight fitting lid and they have been tender and juicy and flavorful every time.

recipe

1 cup chopped up parsley plus more for garnish
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
1/4 cup jarred or fresh garlic
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
1 bottle of premium BBQ sauce (I love Dinosaur BBQ sauce in Syracuse. you can order it online.)
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Any good quality will be delicious, just please select one with very few ingredients. that will always be your key to fabulous meals.

procedure

Place frozen or fresh ribs in the pan with a lid, add parsley & BBQ sauce. cook slow and low for 3 hours max occasionally stirring. when finished add the remainder of the parsley.
